Graphic Design Work
I have always loved design. I think that it can be a powerful and effective means of communication; I think it can influence the decisions that we, as people, make. When I was younger, I used to primarily channel design visions into artwork, but in college I shifted the medium. I began to primarily focus on graphic design. I held three media and graphics positions during my time at Harvard.
I served as the Harvard Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Director of Media both sophomore and junior year. For this position, I was primarily in charge of website, poster, and t-shirt design for the organization. The shirts that I made for the Harvard chapter of EWB in 2020 and 2021 are shown below. The projects that we work on as a chapter are water projects in Kibuon, Kenya and Los Sanchez, the Dominican Republic. The computer design in the middle image is primarily to represent remote implementation during the pandemic. The link to the website is also included at the bottom of this page. Please note that I did not serve as Director of Media for my senior year since I wanted to focus on my senior capstone project, so not all work included on the website is mine.
Another position that I worked was for the Leverett House Communications Team. Harvard is split into 12 upperclassmen houses that students are sorted into for their time as sophomores through seniors. Leverett was my house. I was the graphic design lead. For this position, I primarily designed posters and social media graphics to promote house events. The design on the left below is a t-shirt graphic that I created for an intramural running competition where the house collectively ran 1015km in one week.
Lastly, I served on the Communications Team for Harvard Skiing. I skied on the varsity ski team at Harvard all four years. My sophomore year I served on the communications team which primarily meant organizing events and promoting them through social media and poster design. I only served in this role for one year before becoming captain of the team for junior and senior year.
